Prior to that Mr. Fortwangler was the CIO for Education Management Corporation a >$1B revenue education consortium including the Art Institutes. Mr. Fortwangler has held many diverse roles within Information Technology over a 38+ year career. From Market Research firms, Chemical Manufacturing, Cloud based Online Financial Services and Outsourced Banking Services Mr. Fortwangler brings a diverse background and approach to IT Leadership. Prior to Dollar Bank and EDMC, Mr. Fortwangler served as the Vice President Technology, of Billing Zone, LLC, an electronic invoice presentment and payment company providing electronic outsourced invoicing, billing, and disbursement solutions to Fortune 500 accounts payable organizations. Mr. Fortwangler was then the Director of Information Technology with Fiserv’s Large Bank Division managing professional services and implementations for on premise and hosted solutions. Mr. Fortwangler is also an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University participating in their CIO Certification program teaching Project and Vendor Management. He also participates as a mentor in the Pgh IT Leadership development program. Mr. Fortwangler also serves on multiple Advisory boards. Mr. Fortwangler is a musician and plays guitar, and has been a part of multiple bands in the Pgh area. He enjoys the frustration of golfing and his gentle German Shepard Greta.

The professional career of Dr. Matthew Chodkowski spans over forty years in business and industry including providing training and consulting services to the private, public, and non-profit sectors . Now semi-retired, Dr. Chodkowski continues to consult, conduct research, and write. He is the creator of the Institute’s unique leader education and development process ─ the LEAD Program ─ and the LEAD Foundations Course.
